Intérêts de recherche
La recherche du professeur Amar Mitiche comporte deux volets indépendants, l’un en vision par ordinateur, l’autre en reconnaissance de formes.
En vision par ordinateur, il s’intéresse à l’analyse du mouvement visuel : estimation, segmentation, suivi, et interprétation 3D. Les solutions recherchées s’appuient sur un énoncé variationnel des problèmes menant à des EDPs (équations aux dérivées partielles) résolues par évolution de courbes ou de surfaces via ensembles de niveau.
En reconnaissance de formes, il s’intéresse à la reconnaissance par réseaux neuromimétiques de l’écriture manuscrite, aussi bien en-ligne que hors-ligne.
