- Symposium and Conference
We teach the next generation of researchers to develop scientific, social, and technological innovations.
We find solutions through interdisciplinary research and industry or public and community partnerships.
We play an active role in Québec's economic, social, and cultural development.
This talk will be a general introduction to the use of atom-based quantum technologies to gain a better of understanding of not only our universe but ourselves. Quantum 2.0 are at the forefront of the upcoming technological revolution - with fields such as quantum computing and quantum cryptography grabbing attention. A much less talked about, but more important field of quantum technologies is quantum sensing. The past decade has seen a rapid advance in quantum technologies and at the same time a growing awareness of the magnetic signatures of the body. This talk will go into how we have used these technologies in the lab and how they can be used in the world at large.

Devang Naik has a career spanning all areas of quantum technologies across
the Atlantic, from the very first demonstration of quantum cryptography with entangled
photon pairs to cooling atoms to pico-kelvin temperatures, to their use in searching for
violations of modern quantum theory and investigations into quantum gravity. He is now
with GLOPhotonics in their efforts to harness this new physics for entirely novel
applications.
