This section contains information about your pension plan and association.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Pension plan\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec (UQ) pension plan (RRUQ) is intended for employees of UQ institutions and a few other employers with ties to the UQ. INRS is one of them.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Membership in the RRUQ is automatic and compulsory for all eligible employees.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have any questions about your pension plan, please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rruq.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RRUQ website<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The INRS retirees\u2019 association<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.apres.inrs.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">APRES-INRS<\/a>, the INRS retirees\u2019 association, is your gateway to a host of exciting social and cultural activities at great rates!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to organizing a wide variety of activities for its members, the association offers opportunities to reconnect with former colleagues or meet new ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized is-style-rounded\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/retraites_358023973-edited-2.png\" alt=\"Association de personnes retrait\u00e9es de l\u2019INRS\u00a0- Activit\u00e9s et avantages\" class=\"wp-image-169787\" style=\"width:289px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/retraites_358023973-edited-2.png 900w, https:\/\/inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/retraites_358023973-edited-2-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/retraites_358023973-edited-2-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/retraites_358023973-edited-2-768x768.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Activities and benefits<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">APRES-INRS offers a wide range of exciting activities, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dinners and breakfasts in the Quebec City and Montreal regions&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Festive Christmas dinners\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cultural and sightseeing tours\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hiking and birdwatching\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These activities are partly funded by the association, making them affordable for all members.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Representation\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">APRES-INRS, in collaboration with FRUQ, also plays a representative role in dealings with the authorities and organizations of the Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec network, notably for group insurance and retirement.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Membership<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first year of membership is free. Any INRS retiree who completes and signs the APRES-INRS membership form is exempt from paying dues for the first fiscal year beginning September\u202f1 and ending August\u202f31. For memberships taken out during the last three months of the fiscal year (June, July, or August), the exemption is extended to August\u202f31 of the following fiscal year. Subsequently, the annual fee must be paid to remain a member.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9437c248 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column has-border-color has-light-blue-border-color is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"border-width:2px;padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To sign up, simply fill out the membership form provided by a Human Resources representative upon your retirement.
