For this position we are looking for a talented, highly skilled, and motivated postdoc with a proven track record in the areas of structural and functional analysis of membrane proteins. The successful candidate is expected to dissect the structure and function of bacterial metal transporters identified as potential new drug targets, using a combination of X-ray crystallography and biochemical techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The applicant must have a PhD in a relevant field, such as membrane protein biochemistry or structural biology. Preference will be given to candidate with membrane protein expression and purification skills, and with a solid knowledge in protein characterization and biophysical methods. Experience in X-ray crystallography is preferred but not mandatory. The applicant will be an enthusiastic scientist who demonstrates excellence, creativity, commitment to research, and effective communication skills.
