Intérêts de recherche
Le professeur Sofiène Affes a développé une technique originale de réception des signaux radiofréquence sur les canaux sans fil munie d’une approche novatrice de suppression d’interférence pour laquelle des demandes de brevets canadiens et internationaux ont été déposés. Cette nouvelle technologie existe actuellement à l’état de logiciel.
À moyen terme, le programme de recherche du professeur Affes validera cette technologie en rendant un prototype opérationnel à temps réel et sur les ondes. À long terme, l’équipe du professeur Affes s’emploiera à faire évoluer cette technologie vers les systèmes sans fil à haute vitesse de quatrième génération. Les recherches seront axées sur l’exploitation efficace de plusieurs antennes à l’émission et à la réception et leur combinaison optimale avec des techniques originales de suppression d’interférence.
