A recognized expert in materials chemistry at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS), Professor Dongling Ma has been elected Fellow of the Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC), one of the highest distinctions in Canada’s chemical sciences community. The recognition was presented at the opening of the X2026 Conference and Exhibition in Toronto on May 24, —the first joint conference of the Chemical Society and the Chemical Engineering Society and further acknowledged at the awards reception later that month.
The CIC Fellow designation recognizes scientists who have demonstrated excellence in their field, as well as leadership, service to the scientific community, and broader societal impact.
“I am deeply honoured to have been elected Fellow of the CIC. I sincerely thank my academic colleagues across institutions for their strong support, as well as my students and postdoctoral fellows for their hard work and their essential contribution to the success of our research.”
