Employed at the doping control laboratory since 2009, Professor Naud was initially responsible for analyses aimed at detecting abuse of erythropoiesis-stimulating agents, recombinant growth hormone, homologous transfusions, synthetic hemoglobins, and the measurement of blood parameters necessary for the athlete’s biological passport during the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Vancouver. These responsibilities remain an integral part of his work. In 2012, the laboratory became an Athlete Passport Management Unit (APMU). Among the anti-doping organizations working with the laboratory are the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, the International Tennis Federation, the International Triathlon Union, the International Canoe Federation, and the anti-doping commissions of Jamaica and Guatemala.
