The Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) is the only institution in Quebec dedicated exclusively to university graduate–level research and training. Our professors and students carry out world-class research. In partnership with the community and industry, we are proud to contribute to the development of society through our discoveries and the training of the next generation of scientists embracing scientific, social and technological innovation.
INRS is currently seeking a research professor for a tenure-track position. The successful candidate will collaborate with the multidisciplinary research program of the Centre Eau Terre Environnement (located in Quebec City) by bringing a recognized expertise in biotechnology with a specialization in agri-food and/or bioengineering. The Centre’s research team in environmental technologies benefits from advanced research equipment, including a $15M world-class fermentation laboratory with small- to large-capacity fermenters allowing the scale up industrial bioprocesses.
French is the working language of the Institute. Knowledge of English is required. Candidates who do not commonly use French are strongly encouraged to apply. The selected candidate will be invited to improve their knowledge of French during their first contract (3 years, renewable after evaluation), and all necessary resources to achieve this will be provided.
