We teach the next generation of researchers to develop scientific, social, and technological innovations.
We find solutions through interdisciplinary research and industry or public and community partnerships.
We play an active role in Québec's economic, social, and cultural development.
Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) provides its community with access to facilities and services that help them stay fit, both physically and mentally. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important for academic success and general well-being.
To encourage student fitness, INRS has an agreement with ÉTS allowing INRS students to use ÉTS sports facilities. Under this agreement, you pay the same rates as ÉTS students for sports centre services and related activities. Simply present your INRS student card at our partner institution and mention that you want to register at the sports centre.
Note that Urban Studies students have access to the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) gym through the joint study programs.
Thanks to a partnership agreement with Cégep Limoilou, INRS students can use the college sports facilities at the student rate. You can sign up for the fitness room, take classes, or play badminton, basketball, floor hockey, soccer, or volleyball on a drop-in basis. You can get a membership card by presenting a valid student card at the sports complex reception desk.
Use your lunch hour to get moving! Pilates, yoga, zumba: stay tuned for classes offered at your research and training center.
Students have free access to a training room located in Building 18. The campus also offers outdoor facilities such as a volleyball court, soccer field, floor field hockey area and basketball hoop.
There is a workout room (room 1320) that includes a stationary bike, treadmill, exercise mat and some dumbbells. Showers are also available for users. Reservation required (intranet, VPN connection required outside INRS)
