- Academic Life
We teach the next generation of researchers to develop scientific, social, and technological innovations.
We find solutions through interdisciplinary research and industry or public and community partnerships.
We play an active role in Québec's economic, social, and cultural development.

Update : October 11, 2020
On this Monday, August 31, INRS wishes all members of its community an excellent start of the 2020-2021 academic year.
More than 800 students and postdoctoral fellows, 150 professors and 450 staff members begin together this fall term, which will take place in person and remotely.
To mark the start of the 2020-2021 academic year together, members of the INRS community are invited, on Wednesday September 16, from 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., to speech of the academic year. This speech will be the first one presented virtually and live to the INRS community working on the four campuses.
On one had, this large virtual gathering will be the occasion to underline the collective successes and to welcome new members of the INRS community and, on the other hand, the opportunity to take stock of the previous year, to report on the progress of the strategic plan and present the priorities for the coming year.
This gathering will allow members of the community to discuss with the INRS Chief Executive Officer, Luc-Alain Giraldeau, on the issues and priorities of the coming year, which promises to be one of adjustments, challenges and gestures of solidarity. It’s an event not to be missed!
