Experiencing difficulties that are affecting your work, studies, or private life? You can access prompt and confidential support that meets your needs. The following resources are available for you. 


Psychological harassment

1. The INRS Employee and Students Assistance Program

Our Employee and Students Assistance Program is available to everyone, 24/7. It is completely confidential and entirely free of charge. No one will know you are using the program, unless you tell them yourself. Call toll-free at 1-855-612-2998. The Employee and Students Assistance Program provides free access to a wide range of resources, support and tools. It reflects INRS’s ongoing commitment to promoting the well-being of staff and students and protecting their personal information. A range of professional services are available 24/7, including in the fields of psychology, social work, etc.



Sexual harassment

1. Specialized resource of the Crime Victims Assistance Centre (CAVAC)

Call toll free at 1-888-401-VACS (8227) for help, for someone to talk to, and any questions you may have about sexual violence. Your call will be forwarded to the CAVAC in your region. The service is available Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you leave a voicemail, your call will be returned within the next 48 hours. There are CAVACs in a number of regions across Quebec and they provide services in English and French.


2. Sexual Violence Committee

The INRS Sexual Violence Committee can provide support and guidance. Call toll free at 1-888-401-VACS (8227) or email comitevacs@inrs.ca. Note that all communication is confidential, unless disclosure of information is required to enforce the INRS Policy against Sexual Violence.

To report an intimate relationship that is part of an academic or authority relationship, please email secretariatgeneral@inrs.ca.

Sexual assault assistance centres (CALACS) : visit the Viol-Secours website (24/7, French only) to find a CALACS in your region. There are CALACS in a number of regions across Quebec. 

Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse (human and youth rights commission) :
The human and youth rights Commission website contains information on gender-based forms of harassment and discrimination, prohibited grounds of harassment and areas where harassment is prohibited. You can contact the Commission at 1-800-361-6477 outside normal business hours. Want to file a complaint?
