FISES scholarships are awarded through two annual competitions and are a joint initiative of the INRS Foundation and the Service des partenariats stratégiques et du soutien à l’innovation (SePSSI). They aim to recognize and support the work of budding student entrepreneurs at INRS by enabling them to validate their business idea and its potential.
Level: Graduate
Organization: INRS Foundation and SePSSI
Number of scholarships: 4 per competition (3 for $1,000 and 1 for $2,000)
Length: One semester, non-renewable
Competition: February 2025
Submission deadline: March 7, 2025, at noon
Eligibility
- Be currently enrolled in a master’s or doctoral study program at INRS.
*Postdoctoral researchers are not eligible for FISES grants.
- Intend to start or have started a business project based on the skills developed or the results produced while studying at INRS.
Evaluation criteria
Applications are evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Clarity, quality and Innovative aspect of the business project
- Entrepreneurial vision
- Market potential or potential to be used by many individuals
- Team and experience
- Candidate’s eagerness to enter the business world
