The INRS-UQAT Joint Research Unit in Indigenous Studiesis is launching its first scholarship competition for 2nd and3rd cycle students who need financial support to carry out their fieldwork or collect data.

Eligibility
This competition is open to students:
- Enrolled in a 2nd or3rd cycle program at INRS or UQAT
- Whose director is a member of the INRS-UQAT Joint Research Unit in Indigenous Studies
- Whose research project concerns the realities of Indigenous peoples
Documents required
To apply for this scholarship, students must submit a file including:
- A two-page document containing the following information:
- A brief description of the master’s or doctoral project
- Details of where the fieldwork or data collection will take place
- A budget outlining needs and describing the steps taken to obtain additional financial assistance
- A schedule of fieldwork/data collection activities, including when the application for an ethics certificate will be submitted
- A letter from the research director confirming the information presented in the two-page document
- An up-to-date academic record
Please note that the scholarship will only be paid upon receipt of the ethics certificate issued by the student’s university (INRS or UQAT).
A brief report on the fieldwork/data collection process must be submitted to the joint research unit’s management committee at the end of the process.
