Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. We respect the confidentiality of the data entrusted to us and take the necessary measures to protect it.

Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) complies with the Act respecting Access to documents of public bodies and the Protection of personal information (CQLR, c. A-2.1 as amended by the Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information SQ 2021, c. 25 (Act) and the regulations adopted thereunder.  INRS does not share the data it collects and treats all information collected on its website in a secure and confidential manner.

What are cookies?

Cookies are text files created by your browser and stored on your computer.

What are cookies used for?

Cookies record information about your browsing habits, such as the pages you visit, the frequency of your visits, your geographic location, and the type of device and browser you use. Cookies make it easier for you to browse the Web and enable certain website features.

How do we use cookies?

When a person accesses the INRS website, certain data are automatically exchanged between the servers: the identification of the Internet service provider, the IP address, the type of browser and the operating system, the pages visited, the date and time when the pages are accessed and the address of the referring site, if any.  

INRS uses Google Analytics 4 to collect data on the use of its website, applications, and platforms for statistical purposes so as to provide users with a better experience. INRS must at all times ensure that the persons concerned are informed that it uses technology that includes functions allowing them to be identified, located and profiled.

However, personal Information collected or disclosed through external websites is not subject to our privacy policy. INRS is not responsible for the content of external websites to which it may refer. INRS invites users to read the privacy policies that apply to other websites visited. 

Personal information

INRS is committed to protecting the confidential information you entrust to it. If you voluntarily provide personal or otherwise confidential information by email or on a form, we will only use the information required to respond to your request. When you fill out a form on our website, you agree that the information you provide will be used solely for the purpose for which it was collected and for as long as necessary.

User rights

Users have the right, at any time, to know what personal information has been collected by INRS and may ask to have the information corrected, within the limits and conditions provided for in the legislation.
