Canada Research Chair in Advanced Functional Nanocomposites

Canada Research Chair in Advanced Functional Nanocomposites aims to address emerging needs in the strategic energy, environment and health sectors in innovative ways.

Chairholder

Dongling Ma

Nanomaterials offer new ways to respond to emerging needs in the energy, environment and health sectors. The opportunity to combine nanomaterials with different properties into nanocomposites may offer improved properties or multiple functionalities that could not be achieved using just a single material.

Professor Dongling Ma is working at the forefront of research in advanced nanocomposite materials. She and her research team are synthesizing highly functional nanomaterials for use in important environmental, energy and biomedical applications.

Research team will focus its efforts on cutting-edge research in the field of advanced nanocomposite materials, using low-cost wet chemistry to synthesize highly functional nanomaterials. These new nanomaterials will then be combined to obtain various environmental, energy and biomedical applications.
