Currently, cities’ action on climate change is taking an important place for municipalities and citizens alike. The research to be carried out under this Canada Research Chair is based on two areas of research. In te first area, professor Sophie Van Neste will will work on the new governance and mobilization processes put in place for climate action in cities and suburban areas, by studying infrastructure choices and suburban development methods. The second area of research will focus on the role of emotions in territorialized climate action, among other things, in relation to the attachment of stakeholders to the territories they inhabit.
