International internship

We are looking for an international student with a strong interest in ecosystem (forests, peatlands, salt marshes) carbon cycling, who would like to pursue a 4-6 months paid research internship. The student will be based in the group of the professor Anne Ola at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique in Québec (Québec, Canada).

Depending on the time of arrival, the student may participate in field sampling campaigns aiming to quantify ecosystem carbon stocks. However, the work will be primarily laboratory and laptop based.

Fall 2025 – Winter 2026 (4-6 months)

Eligibility

Be enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in an eligible country/territory for the internship period. Depending on the location of your home institution, verify your eligibility for the program at:


Required qualifications

  • Being eligible to the internship program above.
  • Eagerness in performing laboratory work.
  • Affinity for data mining and analysis using R.
  • A good command of English and some basic understanding of French (or an interest in learning French) are essential.
