The laboratory of Prof. Tarek Rouissi at the INRS Eau Terre Environnement Research Centre is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to join his team and work on an interdisciplinary project focused on developing novel biological systems (microbiological and enzymatic) for the biodegradation of PFAS and sulfur-containing compounds.

Funding
A fellowship starting from $57,000 CAD per year is offered for a one-year term, with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years. For specific information about the fellowship, please contact Professor Tarek Rouissi at tarek.rouissi@inrs.ca.
Required qualifications
We are seeking outstanding, enthusiastic candidates holding a Ph.D. in biotechnology, microbiology, bioprocess engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field, with a solid foundation in chemistry and a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Successful candidates must demonstrate strong skills in research planning, student supervision, experimental design, and scientific publishing. Rigor, perseverance, and excellent communication and writing abilities are essential.
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset. However, to overcome language barriers and foster the inclusion of non-French-speaking researchers, free French language courses are offered to help integrate into the INRS and Quebec communities.
