Project description
As part of the collaborative Mino project (INRS–Osisko), we are seeking a versatile and motivated individual ready to apply their expertise in remote sensing and hydraulic modelling to identify the optimal scenario enabling rapid mine pit dewatering while preserving Atlantic salmon habitat in the York River in Gaspesie, Quebec.
Start date and duration
Spring 2026 (flexible) for 2 years (1 year, renewable).

Salary
$62,420 per year + benefits
Required qualifications
- PhD relevant to the project
- Expertise in fluvial remote sensing and 2D hydraulic modelling
- Demonstrated fieldwork skills
- Ability to program moderately complex tasks
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (French and English)
- Autonomy, rigour, team spirit, desire to innovate
