We teach the next generation of researchers to develop scientific, social, and technological innovations.
We find solutions through interdisciplinary research and industry or public and community partnerships.
We play an active role in Québec's economic, social, and cultural development.

At INRS, community members are encouraged to communicate, recruit, and design research projects according to EDI values.
The Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) is committed to providing an equitable, diverse, and inclusive learning, research, and work environment for all community members. A multitude of information related to EDI practices has been compiled so that each individual can contribute to this commitment.
The “Toolkit” section is primarily intended for research team members who wish to adopt more equitable and inclusive practices, especially in communication, recruitment, and research project design.
Research teams and faculty members can find information on inclusive communication, inclusive recruitment, peer review, or creating an inclusive workplace. There are also many training courses, websites, PowerPoint documents, and tools for integrating EDI principles into research.
