Research interests
The research interests of Dr Miceline Mésidor focus on the use of statistical methods adapted to the complexity of the data, to describe heterogeneous profiles over time and to estimate the effect of drugs on the progression of chronic diseases such as multiple sclerosis. She is also interested in environmental and lifestyle factors in certain cancers. Her work focuses on the following research topics:
- Pharmacotherapy and polypharmacy in people with chronic diseases
- Latent class methods / Trajectory analysis
- Causal inference methods – Personalized medicine
- Application of causal inference methods to case-control studies
Future students
Master’s and PhD students interested in working with Professor Mésidor are invited to contact her by email.

Professor Miceline Mésidor has a background in biostatistics and epidemiology. She holds a master’s degree in public health, with a specialization in biostatistics (2015) from the Institut de Santé Publique, d’Epidémiologie et de Développement (ISPED) – Université de Bordeaux and a PhD in Public Health, with a specialization in epidemiology (2021) from the Université de Montréal. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in biostatistics applied to pharmacoepidemiology at the Université Laval under the supervision of Denis Talbot and Caroline Sirois (2021-2023). In January 2024, she joined INRS-Centre Armand Frappier-Santé Biotechnologie as a Professor.
