In the context of the newly created Infectiopôle (https://infectiopole.inrs.ca), Armand Frappier Santé Biotechnologie Research Centre (AFSB) of the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position in the field of immunology.
Applicants will be expected to have cutting-edge expertise, preferentially but not exclusively, in the study of infectious or chronic inflammatory diseases, tumor immunity, or immunometabolism. The successful candidate is expected to build and maintain a recognized, innovative, and extramurally funded research program and to teach in the Centre AFSB graduate programs.
INRS is the only institution in Quebec exclusively dedicated to research and to graduate level studies. The Centre AFSB provides recently renovated lab spaces and access to core facilities, including confocal microscopy and flow cytometry, electron microscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance, as well as a biosafety level 3 facility. The Centre AFSB campus also hosts the INRS Laboratoire national de biologie expérimentale, a state-of-the-art animal facility, housing multiple animal species under various containment levels.
The collegial work environment at the Centre AFSB comprises fifty faculty members, conducting research and providing advanced training in the areas of infection and immunity, impact of environment and genetics on disease development, discovery of therapeutic and prophylactic agents, and microbial biotechnology,
French is the working language of the Institute. Fluency in English is required.
Candidates whose native language is not French are encouraged to apply. The Centre will provide them with all the resources necessary to facilitate their learning of the French language.
