Biotechnologies

Our biotechnology research, carried out in collaboration with biologists and doctors, covers four areas: nanomaterials and nanostructures for the medical, biological, and environmental sciences; imaging for biomedical applications; lasers and secondary radiation sources applied to biotechnology; and monitoring and diagnosis in relation to precision and telemedicine.

Our research teams are working on nanomaterials to develop treatments for various diseases such as cancer, as well as new imaging systems to study the metabolic activity of the brain, among others.

They are innovating in the field by creating biodetection technologies, computer tools for biomedical data management, and laser- and plasma-optimized processes for decontaminating surfaces.

• Using lasers and plasmas to develop advanced processes better adapted to the manufacturing sector, and to decontaminate or inactivate pathogens.
• Developing better diagnostic approaches and disease screening, surveillance, and management tools, in particular for precision medicine and telemedicine.
