Intérêts de recherche

La professeure Dongling Ma s’intéresse au développement de nouveaux matériaux et structures fonctionnels à l’échelle nanométrique pour des applications biomédicales et dans le domaine de l’énergie, comme le suivi à long terme de procédés biologiques, photovoltaïques ou de catalyse. Plus précisément, ses axes de recherche s’articulent autour de six thèmes :

  • Synthèse, caractérisation, modification de surface et applications biomédicales de nanoparticules stables fortement luminescentes, en particulier, les boîtes quantiques émettant dans le proche infrarouge
  • Étude de la chimie des surfaces et des relations surface-propriétés des nanoparticules fabriquées à l’aide de laser
  • Développement de nouveaux nano-complexes pour la détection du transport cellulaire des virus
  • Nouvelles cellules solaires basées sur des nano-hybrides de boîtes quantiques et de structures unidimensionnelles à haute mobilité (comme des nanotubes de carbone ou des nano-ceintures de TiO2)
  • Conception et réalisation de nouveaux catalyseurs à base de nanoparticules de métaux de transition à haute efficacité et à faible coût
  • Synthèse, caractérisation, modification de surface et applications biomédicales de nanoparticules multifonctionnelles qui intègrent des composantes superparamagnétiques et luminescentes dans une nano-architecture unique

 

Les recherches menées par la professeure Ma contribuera au progrès dans les nanomatériaux avancés par le développement de nouvelles voies de synthèse. Celles-ci permettent d’obtenir des nanoparticules très fonctionnelles par :

  • une meilleure compréhension des relations entre la structure, la taille et les propriétés (en particulier, superparamagnétiques, photophysiques et catalytiques) des nanoparticules;
  • un contrôle plus précis des propriétés des nanoparticules;
  • l’exploration de passionnantes applications des nanoparticules dans le domaine du biomédical et de l’énergie.

The group of Professor Ma (joined INRS in 2006) publishes in the fields of nanomaterials, solar cells, catalysis, plasmon-enhanced applications, etc.  We are interested in i) developing various nanomaterials and nanostructures (e.g., semiconductor quantum dots, transition metal catalytic nanoparticles, metal oxide, plasmonic nanostructures, and nanohybrids), ii) studying their properties and iii) investigating their applications in energy (e.g., solar cell), catalysis (including photocatalysis, water splitting, etc) and biomedical sectors.
