Intérêts de recherche
Les travaux de recherche du Professeur Benesty visent à concevoir les systèmes de communications multimédia du futur. Ils visent aussi a accroître la performance des systèmes de communications multimédia d’aujourd’hui tels que les systèmes de téléconférences ou de télé-enseignement, interfaces humains -machines, téléphones cellulaires mains-libres dans les voitures et autres, en développant des algorithmes acoustiques de traitement des signaux à canaux multiples qui utilisent pleinement les capacités auditives biaurales des humains. Plusieurs des algorithmes développés par le professeur Benesty sont actuellement utilisés dans divers produits et prototypes de télécommunication. De plus, il est détenteur de quatorze (14) brevets pour ses inventions et a déjà publié quatre livres sur les systèmes de communications multimédia.
